Leeway days

The habit tracker that doesn’t reset your streak when you miss a day

A leeway day is a monthly allowance that protects your habit streak. Leeway gives you 2 per month, shared across all habits. When you miss a day, a leeway day mends the gap automatically.

Why missing one day should not mean starting over

Habits are built over weeks and broken by ordinary life. Illness, travel and a bad night of sleep all cause missed days. A counter that drops to zero punishes you for being human, and the loss often decides whether you try again.

Leeway keeps the long view. One missed day inside a good run is a small gap, so the streak stays alive.

How leeway days work

  • You get 2 leeway days every month, shared by all your habits.
  • Miss a scheduled day and one is spent automatically on the next open.
  • The mended day is drawn in purple with a ✦, never as a checkmark.
  • Your total reps and completion numbers count only real check-ins.
  • The allowance resets each month. A leeway sheet shows what is left.

Honest by design

A streak you cannot trust is worth little. Leeway marks every mended day separately in the calendar, the ribbon and the stats. You can always see how many days you did the habit and how many leeway days kept the streak going.
